Privacy

• No cookies and no analytics or tracking scripts of any kind.
• No third-party requests. Fonts, scripts, styles and pictures are served from this site; nothing is loaded from another domain. Links to journals, DOIs, ORCID and licences go elsewhere only when you follow them.
• Your appearance setting (light, dark or automatic) is remembered in your own browser’s storage if you change it. It never leaves your device.
• Forms. What you send with the opt-out and claim forms goes to the editors by e-mail and is kept in a private file on our web host, Hostinger, outside the public site, so that we can act on it. We use it only to handle your request and delete it once the request is closed. To stop automated abuse the server also keeps a one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself) with the request, and for an hour to limit repeated sending. If JavaScript is on, the form page asks this site for a time stamp so the server can tell a person from an instant automated submission; no cookie is set.
• Server logs. Like any web host, Hostinger keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service. We do not use them to profile visitors.
